Good evening! I thought I’d share a little since we’re home for a bit so the kids could attend Youth Group at church. We have been having a great time camping this week.
Yesterday (Tuesday) we had to come home for a bit since Ryan had class and Ralph had doctors appointments. On the way back to the campground we stopped and had a late lunch at Cheddars. OMGosh that place is amazing! I’d been there before, but this Smokehouse burger I had was beyond compare. I cannot recall the last time I had a burger so delicious!! When we got back to the camper I started a batch of Chili in the crockpot and we had that for dinner.Okay, so I know that burger isn’t the healthiest thing ever, but dang, it was so good!! Sadly, I cannot run this week, I’m resting before Saturday’s half, so I really had no excuse for that burger, except it was just plain yummy!
Later that evening after we had been back to the camper for a while we made a fire, which brought out the pyro in my daughter. She burned a face in a log and made a torch. Good thing she was being safe about it! Gotta love how she’s holding the flaming pine cone on a stick with her arm that’s in a cast!
Today turned out to be the nicest day there, weather-wise. Sunny and in the 60’s. Still windy, but fun anyway. This morning Ralph had PT so while he was gone, the kids and I took the dog and went on a 2 mile hike. Here’s some photos from our excursion! The first photo is the view from our camper.
This afternoon we went into town, Ryan opened up his first checking account so that he can get direct deposit at his new job, and we went to the library. I check out The Nourished Kitchen’s new book. It looks amazing! Then on the way home we got stuck behind a really slow/long train. Very annoying! We will be picking the kids up in 2 hours and then heading back to the campsite. I am working my volunteer job tomorrow. Since our nurse manager is healing from the accident she was in, I will be working 2 days a week to help cover some of the slack. We are bringing the camper home tomorrow morning and such, and Abby has class from 1-2. It’s a busy day!
Friday night I have the race packet pick up and expo then the RACE is on Saturday! I have 2 days till my Half! So excited!!
Have you eaten at a Cheddars before? What do you like to order there?
When was the last time you went hiking?
